WINNERS RELY ON SAICOS

6th European Contest of Parquet Layers: The winners used SAICOS HARDWAX-OIL.

The European contest of parquet layers took place in the Bavarian technical school for parquet layers in Neustadt/Aisch, from 1 - 3 Sept. 2006.
Two highly qualified parquet layers each of altogether 9 countries partook in this contest. Germany was represented by Daniel Schrall from Munich (1st winner 2004) and Thomas Höfl from Schliersee (1st winner 2005).
Both delivered a first class example of parquet laying, which was then finished with SAICOS Hardwax-Oil, and they both again succeded in winning this contest.

Test object was a workpiece of apprenticeship or a finished sample. The task was to lay this sample panel with plates from differently coloured parquet (500 x 70 mm) following a given design. Size of this panel was 1.20 m2. In the end, the panel was sanded and oiled. Both winners used for this purpose SAICOS HARDWAX-OIL. The quick application, simple process, short drying time and finally a homogene surface were the reasons why they decided on SAICOS products. By bringing out the natural beauty of the wood, the winners’ panel, particularly the dark smoked oak, was especially beautiful. Schrall and Höfl did an excellent craftman’s job - the material played his part too!
